MegaDroid
MegaDroid made one trade last night at 0.05 lotsize.
It closed for $6.53 profit (+10 pips)

AUD/NZD
The AUD/NZD strategy made about $7.50 profit also yesterday.

Manual
I also made 2 manual trades yesterday with the EUR/USD pair.
One with +2 pips and the other with -12 pips. (-10 pips total)
Total of ~$2.50 loss with the manual trades.

Total
+$11.50 for the day.
A little above my $10 per day target.
:D

Today:
Hoping for similar results.
Might bump up MD's risk to 30% soon.

I started trading the foreign currency exchange on the 24th of February 2009.
Below is a graph of my account balance:

As you can see, I was earning a decent gradual amount from my initial $500 deposit, then copped some massive losses and my account wiped-out. After that, on the 24th of April, I deposited $250 to start fresh, and have made great profits ever since and am on my way to working back what I lost.

I the reason for the big losses was due to a number of reasons.
Firstly, I had become over-confident and didn't think about margin problems with taking up larger lots. The larger lots produced a larger margin loss during the usual draw downs, which unfortunately were too large and the lots closed.
Another reason for the losses during this period was because of an EA i was testing out that made a number of really bad decisions on my behalf.

I have learnt ALOT from this experience and am actually happy that it happened.
Sure, I lost a few hundred dollars, but I gained knowledge that only large mistakes can teach you.

I am now confident enough to know when to open a position, but also am aware of how large my lot sizes can be.
Below is my account balance graph filtered to after the losses.
It's my 'starting fresh statement':

After starting fresh, I back tested a number of Expert Advisers (EAs) aka Robots.
Not many showed alot of promise.
Only robots that trade about once a day seem to be highly successful with account balances lower than $1k

I had only $250 to work with, so that meant alot of commitment of 0.01 lots and close observation.
I decided to stick to only one EA, named MegaDroid (MD or Droid), and i scrapped FAP Turbo (FAPt) due to it's late failures.  I could only rely on the Droid now, as I lost faith in FAPt.
One other method I started using was an AUD/NZD strategy involving buying and selling between the ranges this pair has shown for the past 5 years.
It's a very volatile pair, yet it seems to fluctuate between a range that hasn't been broken for over 5 years, making it a very good pair to work with.

As you can see, my success since staring fresh has been quite good.
The Droid has had a 100% success rate so far and the AUD/NZD strategy hasn't given me massive draw downs as of yet.
I have made $182.45 since starting fresh less than 1 month ago, averaging about $10 per day.
That's 4% of my fresh starting balance every day.
Meaning, after 25 days, I will have made $250 (100%) and doubled my deposit.
Lets see a bank pay out that much :D

My current strategies (12th of May):
EUR/USD MegaDroid v1.11: 22% Risk
AUD/NZD Strategy

Catch you soon,
Sam J

Do you fear?
Well you should because I do, and I know what is best!
It's natural instinct to fear some things, and I can't get enough of it!
That's why when i saw that a game was actually called fear, i had to check it out!
Enough with the exclamation marks pinchy...

Right, F.E.A.R 1 was great for it's time.
Was a screechy game that managed to pull off a decent FPS as well.
The little bitch popping up in the crazy in-game events kept the heart pumping between shoot-offs.
F.E.A.R 2 takes this kind-of to a new level.
Sure in whole it's a great game, but I am very picky now-days when it comes to FPS's.
What main things does a 'Scary FPS' need to get my attention?
  • Blood
  • Human(ish) Intelligent AI!
  • Solid Classic Controls
  • Some wacked-up crap going on
  • A Solid story that comes together and makes sense at some point
  • Decent Graphics
Does F.E.A.R 2 cover all this?
Well I'm going to go right out and say I hate the AI STILL, and what's with the controls?
Why put together controls that have never been used in FPS games before?
Controls should always be:
  • Ctrl = Crouch
  • Shift = Sprint or Run (Depending on what's standard)
  • 1,2,3,4... = Weapons
  • Left Click = Shoot
  • Right Click = Zoom
  • Now the dillemma(no Nelly...), the famous NADE, I'm personally a fan of all nades being branded to a number up the top (prefferably 4) and you press it once for the BOOM nade, twice for the next type of nade and etc.
  • Either that, or pop the nade on for click mouse3?
  • Then obviously R= Reload
  • WASD = Strafing
  • E = Use
  • F = Flashlight
Don't know what was up with the stock controls, but I soon sorted it through the controls menu...
Anyways, with that nagger out the way, another one comes along.

The friggin AI. It must be the hardest thing to actually do, because they obviously aren't putting as much effort into the most crucial part of the game (AI) as they do the already too-advanced-for-mainstream-computer-graphics or as I like to call it, Taf-MCG.
Graphics are already at a point where they don't really need alot more advancement.
Honestly, there isn't much difference between DX 9 and 10, let alone the 11 in the near future. FFS, figure out your algorithms first people, I'm sure the blind hate us enough already without people going "Oh my god look how good the graphics are!" (Sorry to any blind people reading this :P bahaha good one you twat, they can't read...)

F.E.A.R 2, OK, apparently, the AI has come far...
The only difference I can see is that they have learnt a little bit from Metal Gear Solid in the whole "What was that?" except they don't give up and say "Must have just been the breeze", they still bloody start shooting the shit out of you hiding in the dark once they have heard you the first time!

And the twats make it too easy!  When they throw a nade, they don't try to do it the easy way and throw it mid air under the door frame, NOoOo, they throw it as if there is no wall there at all and it bounces back and they kill themselves!
In the meantime I'm so distracted by his stupidity that another 'half-supersmart' prick starts flipping over tables the wrong way with his back facing me and shooting all around the joint.

It's far too inconsistent!
You'll get a self-killing nade twat who can also see in the dark and not miss once!
Who hires a guy to kill someone if he can't even throw an erganomic explosive?
"Well because he can see in the dark of course" yeah, well don't give him a nade then, cause this rare specimen that can see in the dark is now dead.

ohhhhhhhhhh welll, honestly that's enough to put me off playing.
BUT the storyline is a grand piece of art... (NOTE I said Art, not Novel-Masterpeice)
I can't get enough of it, and the spooky bitch appearing when the atmosphere changes around you... Love it!
Oh did I meantion the meat?
No? Well, some twats carry around tanks on their backs, and if you shoot the tank?
Yeah that's right, kaboom, heads and elbows and wristwatches flying everywhere.
If you're lucky enough to get one standing next to his mate, it's a bloodbath you really would love to bathe in. Trust me.

OK, graphics really has come far over the past couple of years, Bioshock and Crysis really set the scene's in terms of reality and inreality(?) graphics.
Crysis just FEELS so right, and BioShock LOOKS soooooooo right!
Now all games are getting to this point and it's becoming the norm.
I'm happy with the norm though, because I beleive graphics are really a few years ahead of everything else, come summer twenty-ten, I'm hoping game dev'ers will have flattened it out so we can move on again and have a truely perfect FPS. I mean that in both ways by the way, (First Person Shooter, AND Frames Per Second) they will fall hand-in-hand ( or Per-in-Per if you want to be witty about it).

Well, I think alot of people have hit the nail on the head, I beleive if this was a mid-07 game, it would have been alot better in my eyes.  It's really been over-promoted and the actual important game mechanics have been under-developed :(

I'm going out with a score, even though I'm not a score kinda guy, because my impressions of a 9 change every day. A 9 can easily become a 7 overnight. Anyways,

(As of Q1 '09)
Sound/Atmosphere: 9 - Really One Thing That Was Done Well, Very Cinematic!
Graphics : 7 - What You Would Expect From a New FPS
StoryLine:  7 - Sure, Good Delivery, But Not-So-Great-Story
Gameplay: 5 - Still Waiting For Something New in a FPS :(

That's a 7 All-Round...
The gameplay is what's important in games and I don't see why game developers can't understand that.
OK guys, we've seen the eye-candy of Crysis, now we want AI!
We want to actually WANT to play a game for it's effective gameplay mechanics.
What ever happenned to that theory?
Oh well.

Enough ranting.
I'm off to play Left for Dead (It's up next in my rant-athon)

Cheers.

I've decided to tackle SFI finally, after a year of being a member.
I have a habit of joining programs and not finding the inspiration to actually put in an effort until later on down the track.

Good news is, yesterday SFI upgraded their program to SFI 3.0
At least this means I'm in for a fresh start!

I had the plan to get my 10SVP by buying protein products which I am already getting, but the cost of shipping was ridiculous, so i resorted to only getting my EyeEarn starter kit and an IAHBE membership, resulting in 11.6 SVP

I guess I'm a big old EA now!

Oh well, time to start building my downline.

If your interested in finding out more about SFI and it's sub-programs, email me at samjovanou@gmail.com
Always available to help you out + i'll be totally honest if it isn't for you :D

Cheers/

Affiliate Junktion has changed it's commissions back to $2.00
Woot, hopefully I can keep up my conversions, because I'd like to be getting double!

Oh yeah, I said the other day that my account balance had reached $200, well, after that day, my conversions started roaring!
I've been getting at least $15 worth of leads every day since, and my AdWords CPC is going lower and lower, from the $0.15 that i saw for a few weeks to ONLY $0.04 !!!
I hope it keeps up that way :D

Cheers ppl.

Hey Everyone!

I've been really impressed with the amount of quality environment-helping websites springing up all over the place.

I've already talked about Blogger's Mosaic's tree planting initiative along with the whole scope of other sites out there.

Today I came across a website called Click 4 Carbon, and I'm quite impressed, so I'd like to take this opportunity to review it.

Click 4 Carbon's goal is basically to convert individuals, small to large communities etc. to use their great online community instead of direct search engines like Google, so that they can produce revenue which will in turn be used to fund environment saving ventures.

Check out the home page and link it as your default Search Engine!

Before we move on, I’d like to point out that Click4Carbon’s Search Engine is in fact coded using Google’s API, so in using Click4Carbon’s search engine instead, the only differences on YOUR end will be a better feeling about having your computer on, and the domain you type in to get-a-searchin!

Go read up on Click4Carbon.com’s plans and story + find out how they plan to help the environment!

Not only does Click4Carbon provide a revenue generating option for it’s environmental projects, but also many other sections to the site give you ways to help reduce your own carbon footprint!

Get over there and have a look people!

Cheers,
Sam J
