The new movie 'Australia'...

Two words... 'Chick Flick'

Not sure, but am I at all excited about it? Not as a movie, but I think it's a great opportunity for Australia, and the Australian film industry to expand and be noticed for how great it really is.

I'm not going to go watch it at the movies, I'll be honest.

I'll be really surprised if it gets alot of people in America into the cinemas, even though it's being publicised so much over there.

I think Americans have better movies to go watch, but i guess there is alot of people there and I'm sure a fair few of them would like to experience something a bit different, so let's just wait and see.

I will however rent it on DVD once it's out, just to see how it compared to expectations.

Personally I don't know if it's fair to name this particular movie 'Australia', as from what I've seen from the movies, the only remotely Australian thing about it is a hint in the characters, and the setting.

But again, let's just wait and see.

It would be hard to promote Australia without naming the film Australia i suppose.

After writing all this, I'm going to have to find out for myself, so it looks like I've changed my mind, i WILL be going to watch this at the movies now :D

Be prepared for a review/ my thoughts soon enough.

PS:

I think the crap about it not being finished is an absolute publicity stunt.

Fow Show.

No director or producers for that matter would ever in their right mind allow changing bits and pieces within days of it's release in cinemas.

It just doesn't happen.
